If you’re considering outsourcing some of the things your company does that aren’t a part of its primary functions, why not start with the writing associated with the business?
Many companies don’t realize just how much writing is involved in keeping their business running, and even more than that, how many different categories fall under that general “writing” umbrella. You simply might not employ enough writers to handle each type.
The tasks could range from the more formal press releases, annual reports, legal documents, and general business reports on one side of the spectrum, moving into more public and less formal documents such as informational brochures, advertising copy, flyers, and website content. At the most “conversational” end of the spectrum, in the interests of keeping in touch with your customers, you might have a regularly updated blog and frequent newsletters. As different projects like this come up, some as one-time things and others ongoing, you don’t necessarily need full-time writers doing them all.
You could still retain your marketing department, to create the strategy for presenting the company’s image in the public, but once this is decided, that would be when freelancers enter the picture. How, then, would you go about finding these people who could take the writing tasks off your hands, so that you can keep designing and manufacturing your widgets?
You could start simple – and free – by posting an ad on a site like Craigslist. Or you might create accounts on websites like Elance.com or Guru.com, which bring together freelancers and those who want to employ them, in a variety of fields. Local job boards can be equally helpful. And you can also check out local employment agencies.
In this article, we have been talking about outsourcing writing tasks. But if you are running a company in the Netherlands and you have some physical jobs to outsource, then you may want to have a look at Pools Uitzendbureau OrangeJobs. They have many polish workers, and are known as uitzendbureau lassers in Holland.
